3 Tobiah the Ammonite was beside him, and he said, “That stone wall they are building—any fox going up on it would break it down!”(A) 4 Hear, O our God, for we are despised; turn their taunt back on their own heads, and give them over as plunder in a land of captivity.(B) 5 Do not cover their guilt, and do not let their sin be blotted out from your sight, for they have raged against the builders.[a](C)

3 Tobiah(A) the Ammonite, who was at his side, said, “What they are building—even a fox climbing up on it would break down their wall of stones!”(B)
4 Hear us, our God, for we are despised.(C) Turn their insults back on their own heads. Give them over as plunder in a land of captivity. 5 Do not cover up their guilt(D) or blot out their sins from your sight,(E) for they have thrown insults in the face of[a] the builders.
