30 You were patient with them for many years,
and Your Spirit warned them through Your prophets,(A)
but they would not listen.
Therefore, You handed them over to the surrounding peoples.(B)
31 However, in Your abundant compassion,
You did not destroy them or abandon them,(C)
for You are a gracious and compassionate God.(D)

32 So now, our God—the great, mighty,
and awe-inspiring God who keeps His gracious covenant(E)
do not view lightly all the hardships that have afflicted us,
our kings and leaders,
our priests and prophets,
our ancestors and all Your people,
from the days of the Assyrian kings(F) until today.

32 “Now therefore, our God, the great God, mighty(E) and awesome,(F) who keeps his covenant of love,(G) do not let all this hardship seem trifling in your eyes—the hardship(H) that has come on us, on our kings and leaders, on our priests and prophets, on our ancestors and all your people, from the days of the kings of Assyria until today.
