⁴⁷^(B)The Levites, however, were not numbered among them by their fathers’ tribe. ⁴⁸Yahweh had spoken to Moses, saying,

⁴⁶The total number was 603,550.^(A)

⁴⁷The ancestral tribe of the Levites,^(B) however, was not counted^(C) along with the others. ⁴⁸The Lord had said to Moses:
