I am your servant, Lord, so why are you doing this to me? What have I done to deserve this? You've made me responsible for all these people, 12 but they're not my children. You told me to nurse them along and to carry them to the land you promised their ancestors. 13 They keep whining for meat, but where can I get meat for them?

What have I done to displease you that you put the burden of all these people on me?(B) 12 Did I conceive all these people? Did I give them birth? Why do you tell me to carry them in my arms, as a nurse carries an infant,(C) to the land you promised on oath(D) to their ancestors?(E) 13 Where can I get meat for all these people?(F) They keep wailing to me, ‘Give us meat to eat!’
