27 And a young man ran to Moses and said, Eldad and Medad are prophesying [sounding forth the praises of God and declaring His will] in the camp.
28 Joshua son of Nun, the minister of Moses, one of his chosen men, said, My lord Moses, forbid them!
29 But Moses said to him, Are you [a]envious or jealous for my sake? Would that all the Lord’s people were prophets and that the Lord would put His Spirit upon them!(A)

27 A young man ran and told Moses, “Eldad and Medad are prophesying in the camp.”
28 Joshua son of Nun,(A) who had been Moses’ aide(B) since youth, spoke up and said, “Moses, my lord, stop them!”(C)
29 But Moses replied, “Are you jealous for my sake? I wish that all the Lord’s people were prophets(D) and that the Lord would put his Spirit(E) on them!”(F)
