28 And Joshua the son of Nun the servant of Moses one of his [a]young men answered and said, My lord Moses, [b]forbid them.
29 But Moses said unto him, Enviest thou for my sake? yea, would God that all the Lord’s people were Prophets, and that the Lord would put his spirit upon them.
30 And Moses returned into the host, he and the Elders of Israel.

New International Version
28 Joshua son of Nun,(A) who had been Moses’ aide(B) since youth, spoke up and said, “Moses, my lord, stop them!”(C)
29 But Moses replied, “Are you jealous for my sake? I wish that all the Lord’s people were prophets(D) and that the Lord would put his Spirit(E) on them!”(F) 30 Then Moses and the elders of Israel returned to the camp.
