²⁶ And they came to Moses and Aaron and to all the congregation of the people of Israel in the wilderness of Paran, at ^(A)Kadesh. They brought back word to them and to all the congregation, and showed them the fruit of the land.

¹⁶ After that the people set out from ^(A)Hazeroth, and camped in ^(B)the wilderness of Paran.

⁸ Your fathers did this, ^(A)when I sent them from Kadesh-barnea to see the land.

Israel's Refusal to Enter the Land

¹⁹ “Then we set out from Horeb and ^(A)went through all that great and terrifying wilderness that you saw, on the way to the hill country of the Amorites, as the Lord our God commanded us. And ^(B)we came to Kadesh-barnea.

²³ And ^(A)when the Lord sent you from Kadesh-barnea, saying, ‘Go up and take possession of the land that I have given you,’ then you rebelled against the commandment of the Lord your God and ^(B)did not believe him or obey his voice.
