Report on the Exploration

²⁶ They came back to Moses and Aaron and the whole Israelite community at Kadesh^(A) in the Desert of Paran.^(B) There they reported to them^(C) and to the whole assembly and showed them the fruit of the land.^(D)

¹⁶ After that, the people left Hazeroth^(A) and encamped in the Desert of Paran.^(B)

⁸ This is what your fathers did when I sent them from Kadesh Barnea to look over the land.^(A)

Spies Sent Out

¹⁹ Then, as the Lord our God commanded us, we set out from Horeb and went toward the hill country of the Amorites^(A) through all that vast and dreadful wilderness^(B) that you have seen, and so we reached Kadesh Barnea.^(C)

²³ And when the Lord sent you out from Kadesh Barnea,^(A) he said, “Go up and take possession^(B) of the land I have given you.” But you rebelled^(C) against the command of the Lord your God. You did not trust^(D) him or obey him.
