28 There are, however, powerful people who live in the land. The cities have huge fortifications. And we even saw the descendants of the Anakites there. 29 The Amalekites live in the land of the arid southern plain; the Hittites, Jebusites, and Amorites live in the mountains; and the Canaanites live by the sea and along the Jordan.”
30 Now Caleb calmed the people before Moses and said, “We must go up and take possession of it, because we are more than able to do it.”

28 But the people who live there are powerful, and the cities are fortified and very large.(A) We even saw descendants of Anak(B) there.(C) 29 The Amalekites(D) live in the Negev; the Hittites,(E) Jebusites(F) and Amorites(G) live in the hill country;(H) and the Canaanites(I) live near the sea and along the Jordan.(J)”
30 Then Caleb(K) silenced the people before Moses and said, “We should go up and take possession of the land, for we can certainly do it.”

28 Nevertheless the people be strong that dwell in the land, and the cities are walled, and very great: and moreover we saw the children of Anak there.
29 The Amalekites dwell in the land of the south: and the Hittites, and the Jebusites, and the Amorites, dwell in the mountains: and the Canaanites dwell by the sea, and by the coast of Jordan.
30 And Caleb stilled the people before Moses, and said, Let us go up at once, and possess it; for we are well able to overcome it.
