3 (A)Your eyes have seen what the Lord has done in the case of Baal-peor, for all the men who followed Baal-peor, the Lord your God has destroyed [a]them from among you. 4 But you who clung to the Lord your God are alive today, every one of you.
5 “See, I have taught you statutes and judgments (B)just as the Lord my God commanded me, that you are to do these things in the land where you are entering to take possession of it. 6 So keep and do them, (C)for that is your wisdom and your understanding in the sight of the peoples who will hear all these statutes and say, ‘Surely this great nation is a wise and understanding people.’

Deuteronomy 4:3-6
New International Version
3 You saw with your own eyes what the Lord did at Baal Peor.(A) The Lord your God destroyed from among you everyone who followed the Baal of Peor, 4 but all of you who held fast to the Lord your God are still alive today.
5 See, I have taught(B) you decrees and laws(C) as the Lord my God commanded(D) me, so that you may follow them in the land you are entering(E) to take possession of it. 6 Observe(F) them carefully, for this will show your wisdom(G) and understanding to the nations, who will hear about all these decrees and say, “Surely this great nation is a wise and understanding people.”(H)
