Amplified Bible
35 I, the Lord, have spoken. I will most certainly do this to all this evil congregation who are gathered together against Me. In this wilderness they shall be consumed [by war, disease, and plagues], and here they shall die.’”(A)
36 As for the men whom Moses sent to spy out the land, and who returned and made all the congregation murmur and complain against him by bringing back a bad report concerning the land, 37 even those [ten] men who brought back the very bad report of the land died by a plague before the Lord.(B)

35 I, the Lord, have spoken, and I will surely do these things(A) to this whole wicked community, which has banded together against me. They will meet their end in this wilderness; here they will die.(B)”
36 So the men Moses had sent(C) to explore the land, who returned and made the whole community grumble(D) against him by spreading a bad report(E) about it— 37 these men who were responsible for spreading the bad report(F) about the land were struck down and died of a plague(G) before the Lord.
