Numbers 14:37-39
Good News Translation
36-37 The men Moses had sent to explore the land brought back a false report which caused the people to complain against the Lord. And so the Lord struck them with a disease, and they died. 38 Of the twelve spies only Joshua and Caleb survived.

New International Version
37 these men who were responsible for spreading the bad report(A) about the land were struck down and died of a plague(B) before the Lord. 38 Of the men who went to explore the land,(C) only Joshua son of Nun and Caleb son of Jephunneh survived.(D)
39 When Moses reported this(E) to all the Israelites, they mourned(F) bitterly.
