33 Then, just as suddenly, the ground closed up over them again, and so they perished, taken alive to the land of the dead. 34 Those who remained ran away, terrified.

35 A fire shot out from the Eternal One and incinerated the 250 men who were offering the incense on Korah’s behalf.

33 They went down alive into the realm of the dead,(A) with everything they owned; the earth closed over them, and they perished and were gone from the community. 34 At their cries, all the Israelites around them fled, shouting, “The earth is going to swallow us too!”
35 And fire came out from the Lord(B) and consumed(C) the 250 men who were offering the incense.
