7 And Moses laid the rods before the Lord in the Tabernacle of the Testimony.
8 And when Moses on the morrow went into the Tabernacle of the Testimony, behold, the rod of Aaron [a]for the house of Levi was budded, and brought forth buds, and brought forth blossoms, and bare ripe almonds.
9 Then Moses brought out all the rods from before the Lord unto all the children of Israel: and they looked upon them, and took every man his rod.

New International Version
7 Moses placed the staffs before the Lord in the tent of the covenant law.(A)
8 The next day Moses entered the tent(B) and saw that Aaron’s staff,(C) which represented the tribe of Levi, had not only sprouted but had budded, blossomed and produced almonds.(D) 9 Then Moses brought out all the staffs(E) from the Lord’s presence to all the Israelites. They looked at them, and each of the leaders took his own staff.
