And Moses laid the rods before the Lord in the Tabernacle of the Testimony.

And when Moses on the morrow went into the Tabernacle of the Testimony, behold, the rod of Aaron [a]for the house of Levi was budded, and brought forth buds, and brought forth blossoms, and bare ripe almonds.

Then Moses brought out all the rods from before the Lord unto all the children of Israel: and they looked upon them, and took every man his rod.

Moses placed the staffs before the Lord in the tent of the covenant law.(A)

The next day Moses entered the tent(B) and saw that Aaron’s staff,(C) which represented the tribe of Levi, had not only sprouted but had budded, blossomed and produced almonds.(D) Then Moses brought out all the staffs(E) from the Lord’s presence to all the Israelites. They looked at them, and each of the leaders took his own staff.
