²³ It is the Levites who are to do the work at the tent of meeting and bear the responsibility for any offenses they commit against it. This is a lasting ordinance^(A) for the generations to come.^(B) They will receive no inheritance^(C) among the Israelites.^(D)

³⁸ It will be on Aaron’s forehead, and he will bear the guilt^(A) involved in the sacred gifts the Israelites consecrate, whatever their gifts may be. It will be on Aaron’s forehead continually so that they will be acceptable^(B) to the Lord.
