10 The one who gathers the ashes of the cow will wash his clothes but will be unclean until evening. This will be a permanent regulation for the Israelites and for the immigrant who lives among them.

11 The person who touches the dead body of any human will be unclean for seven days. 12 That person must be cleansed with water on the third and seventh days to be clean. If he fails to be cleansed with water on the third and seventh days, he will not be clean.

10 The man who gathers up(A) the ashes of the heifer must also wash his clothes, and he too will be unclean till evening.(B) This will be a lasting ordinance(C) both for the Israelites and for the foreigners residing among them.(D)

11 “Whoever touches a human corpse(E) will be unclean for seven days.(F) 12 They must purify themselves with the water on the third day and on the seventh day;(G) then they will be clean. But if they do not purify themselves on the third and seventh days, they will not be clean.(H)
