15 Every open vessel, which has no covering [a]tied down on it, shall be unclean. 16 (A)Also, anyone who in the open field touches one who has been slain with a sword or who has died naturally, or a human bone or a grave, shall be unclean for seven days. 17 Then for the unclean person they shall take some of the [b]ashes of the [c]burnt [d](B)purification from sin and [e]flowing water shall be [f]added to them in a vessel.

16 “Anyone out in the open who touches someone who has been killed with a sword or someone who has died a natural death,(B) or anyone who touches a human bone(C) or a grave,(D) will be unclean for seven days.(E)
17 “For the unclean person, put some ashes(F) from the burned purification offering into a jar and pour fresh water(G) over them.
