The one who burns it shall also wash his clothes in water and bathe his [a]body in water and shall be unclean until evening. Now a man who is clean shall gather up the ashes of the heifer and deposit them outside the camp in a clean place, and [b]the congregation of the sons of Israel shall keep it as (A)water to remove impurity; it is [c]purification from sin. 10 And the one who gathers the ashes of the heifer (B)shall wash his clothes and be unclean until evening; and it shall be a perpetual statute to the sons of Israel and to the sojourner who sojourns among them.

“A man who is clean shall gather up the ashes of the heifer(A) and put them in a ceremonially clean place(B) outside the camp. They are to be kept by the Israelite community for use in the water of cleansing;(C) it is for purification from sin.(D) 10 The man who gathers up(E) the ashes of the heifer must also wash his clothes, and he too will be unclean till evening.(F) This will be a lasting ordinance(G) both for the Israelites and for the foreigners residing among them.(H)
