3 On the east, toward the sunrise, the divisions of the camp of Judah are to encamp under their standard. The leader of the people of Judah is Nahshon son of Amminadab.(A) 4 His division numbers 74,600.
5 The tribe of Issachar(B) will camp next to them. The leader of the people of Issachar is Nethanel son of Zuar.(C) 6 His division numbers 54,400.
7 The tribe of Zebulun will be next. The leader of the people of Zebulun is Eliab son of Helon.(D) 8 His division numbers 57,400.
9 All the men assigned to the camp of Judah, according to their divisions, number 186,400. They will set out first.(E)
10 On the south(F) will be the divisions of the camp of Reuben under their standard. The leader of the people of Reuben is Elizur son of Shedeur.(G) 11 His division numbers 46,500.
12 The tribe of Simeon(H) will camp next to them. The leader of the people of Simeon is Shelumiel son of Zurishaddai.(I) 13 His division numbers 59,300.
14 The tribe of Gad(J) will be next. The leader of the people of Gad is Eliasaph son of Deuel.[a](K) 15 His division numbers 45,650.
16 All the men assigned to the camp of Reuben,(L) according to their divisions, number 151,450. They will set out second.
17 Then the tent of meeting and the camp of the Levites(M) will set out in the middle of the camps. They will set out in the same order as they encamp, each in their own place under their standard.
18 On the west(N) will be the divisions of the camp of Ephraim(O) under their standard. The leader of the people of Ephraim is Elishama son of Ammihud.(P) 19 His division numbers 40,500.
20 The tribe of Manasseh(Q) will be next to them. The leader of the people of Manasseh is Gamaliel son of Pedahzur.(R) 21 His division numbers 32,200.
22 The tribe of Benjamin(S) will be next. The leader of the people of Benjamin is Abidan son of Gideoni.(T) 23 His division numbers 35,400.
24 All the men assigned to the camp of Ephraim,(U) according to their divisions, number 108,100. They will set out third.(V)
25 On the north(W) will be the divisions of the camp of Dan under their standard.(X) The leader of the people of Dan is Ahiezer son of Ammishaddai.(Y)

5 “Those who camp next to him shall be the tribe of Issachar, and Nethanel the son of Zuar shall be the leader of the children of Issachar.” 6 And his army was numbered at fifty-four thousand four hundred.
7 “Then comes the tribe of Zebulun, and Eliab the son of Helon shall be the leader of the children of Zebulun.” 8 And his army was numbered at fifty-seven thousand four hundred. 9 “All who were numbered according to their armies of the forces with Judah, one hundred and eighty-six thousand four hundred—(C)these shall [a]break camp first.
10 “On the (D)south side shall be the standard of the forces with Reuben according to their armies, and the leader of the children of Reuben shall be Elizur the son of Shedeur.” 11 And his army was numbered at forty-six thousand five hundred.
12 “Those who camp next to him shall be the tribe of Simeon, and the leader of the children of Simeon shall be Shelumiel the son of Zurishaddai.” 13 And his army was numbered at fifty-nine thousand three hundred.
14 “Then comes the tribe of Gad, and the leader of the children of Gad shall be Eliasaph the son of [b]Reuel.” 15 And his army was numbered at forty-five thousand six hundred and fifty. 16 “All who were numbered according to their armies of the forces with Reuben, one hundred and fifty-one thousand four hundred and fifty—(E)they shall [c]be the second to break camp.
17 (F)“And the tabernacle of meeting shall move out with the [d]camp of the Levites (G)in the middle of the [e]camps; as they camp, so they shall move out, everyone in his place, by their [f]standards.
18 “On the west side shall be the standard of the forces with Ephraim according to their armies, and the leader of the children of Ephraim shall be Elishama the son of Ammihud.” 19 And his army was numbered at forty thousand five hundred.
20 “Next to him comes the tribe of Manasseh, and the leader of the children of Manasseh shall be Gamaliel the son of Pedahzur.” 21 And his army was numbered at thirty-two thousand two hundred.
22 “Then comes the tribe of Benjamin, and the leader of the children of Benjamin shall be Abidan the son of Gideoni.” 23 And his army was numbered at thirty-five thousand four hundred. 24 “All who were numbered according to their armies of the forces with Ephraim, one hundred and eight thousand one hundred—(H)they shall [g]be the third to break camp.
25 “The [h]standard of the forces with Dan shall be on the north side according to their armies, and the leader of the children of Dan shall be Ahiezer the son of Ammishaddai.”

30 “These will be the exits of the city: Beginning on the north side, which is 4,500 cubits long, 31 the gates of the city will be named after the tribes of Israel. The three gates on the north side will be the gate of Reuben, the gate of Judah and the gate of Levi.
32 “On the east side, which is 4,500 cubits long, will be three gates: the gate of Joseph, the gate of Benjamin and the gate of Dan.
