²⁹And when all the congregation saw that Aaron had perished, ^(A)all the house of Israel wept for Aaron thirty days.

²⁹and when the whole community learned that Aaron had died,^(A) all the Israelites mourned for him^(B) thirty days.

³Forty days were required for it, for that is how many are required for embalming. And the Egyptians ^(A)wept for him seventy days.

³taking a full forty days, for that was the time required for embalming. And the Egyptians mourned for him seventy days.^(A)
