Now Balak the son of Zippor saw all that Israel had done to the Amorites. So Moab was filled with much fear because of the people, for they were many. Moab was very afraid of the people of Israel. And Moab said to the leaders of Midian, “Now these people will take away everything around us like the bull eats up the grass of the field.” Balak the son of Zippor was king of Moab at that time.

Now Balak son of Zippor(A) saw all that Israel had done to the Amorites, and Moab was terrified because there were so many people. Indeed, Moab was filled with dread(B) because of the Israelites.

The Moabites(C) said to the elders of Midian,(D) “This horde is going to lick up everything(E) around us, as an ox licks up the grass of the field.(F)
