³So Israel yoked himself to Baal of Peor. And the anger of the Lord was kindled against Israel.

³So Israel yoked themselves to^(A) the Baal of Peor.^(B) And the Lord’s anger burned against them.

²⁸Then they ^(A)yoked themselves to the ^(B)Baal of Peor,
and ate sacrifices offered to ^(C)the dead;
