24 The tribal chief of the father’s house for the Gershonites was Eliasaph son of Lael. 25 The duties of the descendants of Gershon in the Tent of Meeting involved the dwelling and the tent,[a] its coverings, and the screen for the entrance to the Tent of Meeting, 26 also the hangings of the courtyard, and the screen for the entrance to the courtyard which surrounds the Dwelling and the altar, and its ropes—everything related to this work.

24 The leader of the families of the Gershonites was Eliasaph son of Lael. 25 At the tent of meeting the Gershonites were responsible for the care of the tabernacle(A) and tent, its coverings,(B) the curtain at the entrance(C) to the tent of meeting,(D) 26 the curtains of the courtyard(E), the curtain at the entrance to the courtyard surrounding the tabernacle and altar,(F) and the ropes(G)—and everything(H) related to their use.
