32 And Eleazar the son of Aaron the Priest shall be [a]chief captain of the Levites, having the oversight of them that have the charge of the Sanctuary.
33 ¶ Of Merari came the family of the Mahlites, and the family of the Mushites: these are the families of Merari.
34 And the sum of them, according to the number of all the males, from a month old and above was six thousand and two hundred.

32 The chief leader of the Levites was Eleazar(A) son of Aaron, the priest. He was appointed over those who were responsible(B) for the care of the sanctuary.(C)
33 To Merari belonged the clans of the Mahlites and the Mushites;(D) these were the Merarite clans.(E) 34 The number of all the males a month old or more(F) who were counted was 6,200.
