7 Besides, why are you trying to discourage the people of Isra’el from crossing into the land Adonai gave them? 8 This is what your fathers did when I sent them from Kadesh-Barnea to see the land. 9 For when they went up to the Eshkol Valley and saw the land, they disheartened the people of Isra’el, so that they wouldn’t enter the land Adonai had given them.

7 Why do you discourage the Israelites from crossing over into the land the Lord has given them?(A) 8 This is what your fathers did when I sent them from Kadesh Barnea to look over the land.(B) 9 After they went up to the Valley of Eshkol(C) and viewed the land, they discouraged the Israelites from entering the land the Lord had given them.
