⁶ “Speak to the people of Israel, ^(A)When a man or woman commits any of the sins that people commit by breaking faith with the Lord, and that person realizes his guilt, ^7 (B)he shall confess his sin that he has committed.^{[a] (C)}And he shall make full restitution for his wrong, adding a fifth to it and giving it to him to whom he did the wrong.

²² And Hezekiah spoke ^(A)encouragingly to all the Levites who showed good skill in the service of the Lord. So they ate the food of the festival for seven days, sacrificing ^(B)peace offerings and giving thanks to the Lord, the God of their fathers.

¹¹ Now then ^(A)make confession to the Lord, the God of your fathers and do his will. ^(B)Separate yourselves from the peoples of the land and from the foreign wives.”

⁴ I prayed to the Lord my God and ^(A)made confession, saying, ^(B)“O Lord, the ^(C)great and awesome God, who ^(D)keeps covenant and steadfast love with those who love him and keep his commandments,
