¹⁶ When we cried out to the Lord, he heard our plea,^[a] and sent an angel,^[b](A) and brought us out of Egypt. Now look, we are in Kadesh, a city on the border of your territory.

²⁸ Nebuchadnezzar exclaimed, “Praise to the God of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego! He sent his angel^[a](A) and rescued his servants who trusted in him.^(B) They violated the king’s command and risked their lives rather than serve or worship any god except their own God.^(C)

¹¹ When Peter came to himself, he said, “Now I know for certain that the Lord has sent his angel and rescued me from Herod’s grasp and from all that the Jewish people expected.”^(A)

¹⁴ Are they not all ministering spirits sent out to serve those who are going to inherit salvation?^(A)
