³ Do nothing from ^(A)selfish ambition or ^(B)conceit, but in ^(C)humility count others more significant than yourselves.

^10 (A)Love one another with brotherly affection. ^(B)Outdo one another in showing honor.

^21 (A)submitting to one another out of reverence for Christ.

^26 (A)Let us not become conceited, provoking one another, envying one another.

⁵ Likewise, you who are younger, be subject to the elders. ^(A)Clothe yourselves, all of you, with humility toward one another, for ^(B)“God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble.”

² with all ^(A)humility and ^(B)gentleness, with ^(C)patience, ^(D)bearing with one another in love,

¹⁴ But if you have bitter ^(A)jealousy and selfish ambition in your hearts, do not boast and be false to the truth. ¹⁵ This is not ^(B)the wisdom that comes down from above, but is earthly, unspiritual, ^(C)demonic. ¹⁶ For where jealousy and selfish ambition exist, there will be disorder and every vile practice.

⁵ Or do you suppose it is to no purpose that the Scripture says, “He yearns jealously over the spirit ^(A)that he has made to dwell in us”? ⁶ But ^(B)he gives more grace. Therefore it says, ^(C)“God opposes the proud but ^(D)gives grace to the humble.”

^4 (A)he is puffed up with conceit and ^(B)understands nothing. He has an unhealthy craving for ^(C)controversy and for ^(D)quarrels about words, which produce envy, dissension, slander, evil suspicions,
