Philippians 1:16-18

16 the latter do it out of love, knowing that I am appointed for the defense of the (A)gospel; 17 the former proclaim Christ (B)out of selfish ambition [a]rather than from pure motives, thinking that they are causing me distress in my [b](C)imprisonment. 18 What then? Only that in every way, whether in pretense or in truth, Christ is proclaimed, and in this I rejoice.

New International Version
16 The latter do so out of love, knowing that I am put here for the defense of the gospel.(A) 17 The former preach Christ out of selfish ambition,(B) not sincerely, supposing that they can stir up trouble for me while I am in chains.(C) 18 But what does it matter? The important thing is that in every way, whether from false motives or true, Christ is preached. And because of this I rejoice.
