¹⁵ my son, do not go along with them,
    do not set foot^(A) on their paths;^(B)

¹⁹ Such are the paths of all who go after ill-gotten gain;
    it takes away the life of those who get it.^(A)

    and fair—every good path.

¹² Wisdom will save^(A) you from the ways of wicked men,
    from men whose words are perverse,
¹³ who have left the straight paths
    to walk in dark ways,^(B)

¹⁵ whose paths are crooked^(A)
    and who are devious in their ways.^(B)

¹⁸ Surely her house leads down to death
    and her paths to the spirits of the dead.^(A)
