²⁵ And you ^(A)neglected all my counsel
And were not ^(B)willing to accept my reproof;
²⁶ I will also ^(C)laugh at your ^(D)disaster;
I will mock when your ^(E)dread comes,
²⁷ When your dread comes like a storm
And your disaster comes like a ^(F)whirlwind,
When distress and anguish come upon you.
²⁸ Then they will ^(G)call on me, but I will not answer;
They will ^(H)seek me earnestly but they will not find me,

⁴ Then they will ^(A)cry out to Yahweh,
But He will not answer them.
Instead, He will ^(B)hide His face from them at that time
Because they have ^(C)practiced evil deeds.
