Proverbs 10:15-17

¹⁵Having lots of money protects the rich.
But having no money destroys the poor.

¹⁶Good people are rewarded with life.
But evil people are paid back with punishment.

¹⁷The person who accepts correction is on the way to life.
But the person who ignores correction will be ruined.

Proverbs 10:15-17

¹⁵The wealth of the rich is their fortified city,^(A)
but poverty is the ruin of the poor.^(B)

¹⁶The wages of the righteous is life,^(C)
but the earnings of the wicked are sin and death.^(D)

¹⁷Whoever heeds discipline shows the way to life,^(E)
but whoever ignores correction leads others astray.
