Proverbs 10:16-18

Good News Translation

¹⁶The reward for doing good is life, but sin leads only to more sin.

¹⁷People who listen when they are corrected will live, but those who will not admit that they are wrong are in danger.

¹⁸Anyone who hides hatred is a liar. Anyone who spreads gossip is a fool.

Proverbs 10:16-18

New International Version

¹⁶The wages of the righteous is life,^(A)
but the earnings of the wicked are sin and death.^(B)

¹⁷Whoever heeds discipline shows the way to life,^(C)
but whoever ignores correction leads others astray.

¹⁸Whoever conceals hatred with lying lips^(D)
and spreads slander is a fool.
