¹¹A city is honored by the good things that come to the faithful, but it is torn down by the mouth of the sinful.

¹²He who hates his neighbor does not think well, but a man of understanding keeps quiet.

¹³He who is always telling stories makes secrets known, but he who can be trusted keeps a thing hidden.

New International Version

¹¹Through the blessing of the upright a city is exalted,^(A)
but by the mouth of the wicked it is destroyed.^(B)

¹²Whoever derides their neighbor has no sense,^(C)
but the one who has understanding holds their tongue.^(D)

¹³A gossip betrays a confidence,^(E)
