²⁰ built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets,^(A) with Christ Jesus Himself as the cornerstone. ²¹ The whole building, being put together^(B) by Him, grows into a holy sanctuary in the Lord.^{(C) 22} You also are being built together^(D) for God’s dwelling^(E) in the Spirit.

⁵ you yourselves, as living stones, are being built into a spiritual house for a holy priesthood to offer spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God^(A) through Jesus Christ.
