Proverbs 14:31-33

³¹Anyone who oppresses the poor is insulting God who made them. To help the poor is to honor God.

³²The godly have a refuge when they die, but the wicked are crushed by their sins.

³³Wisdom is enshrined in the hearts of men of common sense, but it must shout loudly before fools will hear it.

Proverbs 14:31-33

³¹Whoever oppresses the poor shows contempt for their Maker,^(A)
but whoever is kind to the needy honors God.^(B)

³²When calamity comes, the wicked are brought down,^(C)
but even in death the righteous seek refuge in God.^(D)

³³Wisdom reposes in the heart of the discerning^(E)
and even among fools she lets herself be known.^[a]
