²⁰A wise son brings joy to his father,^(A)
but a foolish man despises his mother.

¹⁷The eye that ^(A)mocks a father
And ^[a]^(B)scorns a mother,
The ^(C)ravens of the valley will pick it out,
And the young ^(D)eagles will eat it.

that scorns an aged mother,
will be pecked out by the ravens of the valley,
