³¶ Commit thy works unto the LORD, and thy thoughts shall be established.

⁴¶ The LORD has made all things by himself, yea, even the wicked for the day of evil.

⁵¶ Every one that is proud in heart is an abomination to the LORD; the covenant that he makes, shall not be without chastening.

³Commit to the Lord whatever you do,
and he will establish your plans.^(A)

⁴The Lord works out everything to its proper end^(B)—
even the wicked for a day of disaster.^(C)

⁵The Lord detests all the proud of heart.^(D)
Be sure of this: They will not go unpunished.^(E)
