Proverbs 18:23

New International Version

²³The poor plead for mercy,
but the rich answer harshly.

⁶Yet you dishonored that poor man.^(A) Don’t the rich oppress you and drag^(B) you into the courts?

⁶But you have dishonored the poor.^(A) Is it not the rich who are exploiting you? Are they not the ones who are dragging you into court?^(B)
