Proverbs 19:19-21

¹⁹People who are quick to become angry must pay the price. Protect them from punishment, and they become worse.

²⁰Listen to advice and accept discipline; then you, too, will become wise.

²¹People might make many plans, but what the Lord says is what will happen.

¹⁹A hot-tempered person must pay the penalty;
rescue them, and you will have to do it again.

²⁰Listen to advice and accept discipline,^(A)
and at the end you will be counted among the wise.^(B)

²¹Many are the plans in a person’s heart,
