20 ^(A)Wine is a mocker, ^(B)intoxicating drink a brawler,
And whoever ^[a]is intoxicated by it is not wise.

¹² Their banquets are accompanied by lyre and ^(A)harp, by tambourine and flute, and by wine;
But they ^(B)do not pay attention to the deeds of the Lord,
Nor do they consider the work of His hands.

⁷ And these also ^(A)reel with wine and stagger from intoxicating drink:
^(B)The priest and ^(C)the prophet reel with intoxicating drink,
They are confused by wine, they stagger from ^(D)intoxicating drink;
They reel while ^[a]having ^(E)visions,
They stagger when rendering a verdict.
