Proverbs 20:19-21

¹⁹A gossip can never keep a secret. Stay away from people who talk too much.

²⁰If you curse your parents, your life will end like a lamp that goes out in the dark.

²¹The more easily you get your wealth, the less good it will do you.

New International Version

¹⁹A gossip betrays a confidence;^(A)
so avoid anyone who talks too much.

²⁰If someone curses their father or mother,^(B)
their lamp will be snuffed out in pitch darkness.^(C)

²¹An inheritance claimed too soon
will not be blessed at the end.
