²²A wise man scales the city walls of the mighty and brings down the stronghold in which they trust.

Proverbs 21:22

New International Version

²²One who is wise can go up against the city of the mighty^(A)
and pull down the stronghold in which they trust.

¹⁶But I say that wisdom is better than might, though the poor man’s wisdom is despised and his words are not heeded.

¹⁶So I said, “Wisdom is better than strength.” But the poor man’s wisdom is despised, and his words are no longer heeded.^(A)
