¹⁶Though a righteous man falls seven times,
he will get up,^(A)
but the wicked will stumble into ruin.^(B)

¹⁶for though the righteous fall seven times, they rise again,
but the wicked stumble when calamity strikes.^(A)

¹⁰If anyone walks during the night,^(A) he does stumble, because the light is not in him.”

¹⁰It is when a person walks at night that they stumble, for they have no light.”
