¹¹¶ The fool gives full rein to his spirit, but the wise man in the end will bring it into rest.

¹²¶ Of the ruler who hearkens unto the lying word, all his ministers are evil.

¹³¶ The poor and the usurer meet together; the LORD lightens both their eyes.

New International Version

¹¹Fools give full vent to their rage,^(A)
but the wise bring calm in the end.^(B)

¹²If a ruler^(C) listens to lies,
all his officials become wicked.^(D)

¹³The poor and the oppressor have this in common:
The Lord gives sight to the eyes of both.^(E)
