Proverbs 29:24-26

²⁴To be a thief’s partner is to hate oneself;
he hears the curse but will not testify.^[a]^(A)

²⁵The fear of man is a snare,^(B)
but the one who trusts in the Lord is protected.^[b]^(C)

²⁶Many seek a ruler’s favor,^(D)
but a man receives justice from the Lord.^(E)
