Proverbs 29:9-11

⁹If a wise man goes to court with a fool,
there will be ranting and raving but no resolution.^[a]^(A)

¹⁰Bloodthirsty men hate an honest person,^(B)
but the upright care about him.^[b]

¹¹A fool gives full vent to his anger,^[c]^(C)
but a wise man holds it in check.^(D)

the fool rages and scoffs, and there is no peace.

¹⁰The bloodthirsty hate a person of integrity
and seek to kill the upright.^(A)
