⁴² And whoever gives^(A) just a cup of cold water to one of these little ones because he is a disciple^[a](B)—I assure you: He will never lose his reward!”

⁴⁰ “And the King will answer them, ‘I assure you: Whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of Mine, you did for Me.’^(A)

⁴ they begged us insistently for the privilege of sharing^(A) in the ministry to the saints,

³ We recall, in the presence of our God and Father,^(A) your work of faith,^(B) labor of love, and endurance of hope in our Lord Jesus Christ,^(C)

¹⁸ May the Lord grant that he obtain mercy^(A) from Him on that day. And you know very well how much he ministered at Ephesus.^(B)
