⁸ Smoke went up from his nostrils
    and devouring fire from his mouth;
    glowing coals flamed forth from him.

⁹ You will make them like a fiery furnace
    when you appear.
The Lord will swallow them up in his wrath,
    and fire will consume them.^(A)

    and the hills melt;
the earth heaves before him,
    the world and all who live in it.^(A)

    and flowed out from his presence.
