⁸ I feel ^(A)faint and ^[a]badly crushed;
I ^[b](B)groan because of the ^[c]agitation of my heart.

61 The ^(A)Spirit of the Lord ^[a]God is upon me,
Because the Lord anointed me
To ^(B)bring good news to the ^(C)humble;
He has sent me to ^(D)bind up the brokenhearted,
To ^(E)proclaim ^[b]release to captives
And ^[c]freedom to prisoners;

² For ^(A)My hand made all these things,
So all these things came into being,” declares the Lord.
“But I will look to this one,
At one who is humble and ^(B)contrite in spirit, and who ^(C)trembles at My word.

¹² Hope deferred makes the heart sick,
But desire ^[a]fulfilled is a tree of life.

^12 (A)Before destruction the heart of a person is haughty,
But ^(B)humility goes before honor.

¹³ A ^(A)joyful heart makes a ^[a]cheerful face,
But ^[b]when the heart is ^(B)sad, the ^(C)spirit is broken.
